Jack Cleutjens

Dr Jack Cleutjens has been working for Maastricht University since 1985. After finishing his thesis 'Basement membrane heterogeneity' in 1989, he started working in the cardiovascular field as a post-doc on the regulation of the wound healing after myocardial infarction. His main interest is in the area of extracellular matrix remodeling, mainly collagen synthesis and degradation.
His area of focus is education and cardiovascular research. He is a specialist in the field of morphometry and (digital) microscopy. Jack Cleutjens is a member of the Dutch Society of Pathology, Experimental Pathology section and of the Dutch Society for Matrix Biology.
