CARIM contribution NFU campaign 'Laat wetenschap werken'

The coalition agreement between PVV, VVD, NSC, and BBB announces significant budget cuts. These cuts are raising concerns in the scientific community about the position of the Netherlands as a leader in knowledge and innovation. Therefore, the Dutch Federation of University Medical Centers (NFU) is launching the campaign 'Laat wetenschap werken' (Let Science Work). In the campaign, the NFU is calling on scientists to join forces by showing the future cabinet that their research is essential for helping the Netherlands move forward. That's why they are sharing the concrete contributions their research makes to our society and calling for an end to the budget cuts on science.

Joost explains how all the data about a patient's heart is converted into a digital twin heart through special computer models. Kevin can then use this digital twin heart to determine which specific treatment will benefit each patient.
